Definitions

History of Patriotism Folks– So at this point, though we don’t have a formal definition, we’re circling around several factors that we think help define a nation: 1.  Language–both written and spoken, though especially written.2.   Culture–shared and distinct to a particular people.3.  Territory–controlled by a state.4.  A state/government (we haven’t really talked about this, but can a “nation” be controlled by more than one “state”?) 

First Journal

Patriotism Folks– Despite the fact that we have no class on Monday, please do the assigned readings and submit your first journal by Monday at noon via WebCT. 

Office Hours
